Nightly automated testing for FastAPI and Python SaaS applications

Most small SaaS teams learn about broken logins, failing endpoints and missing pages from their users. The FastAPI SaaS QA Pack runs 30 checks against your application every night and sends a colour-coded report to your inbox before the working day starts — so regressions are caught within hours, not weeks.

Five test suites

• Auth & Security (6 tests, 03:00 UTC) — successful login, wrong-password rejection, token validation, access without a token, fake tokens and unregistered emails.
• API CRUD (7 tests, 03:15 UTC) — list, create and delete endpoints; confirms new items appear, validates missing-field errors (422) and verifies deletion.
• Public Pages (7 tests, 02:00 UTC) — home, login and legal pages, sitemap and correct 404 behaviour.
• End-to-end CRUD flow (5 steps, 03:30 UTC) — create an item, find it in the list, check data integrity, delete it and confirm it is gone.
• Security & Negative tests (5 tests, 03:45 UTC) — SQL injection resistance, cross-user data access, forged JWTs and missing authentication.

Reports your team can act on

Each suite sends an HTML email: green when everything passes, red when something needs attention. Every test is listed with a pass or fail mark and the exact error message, so you know what broke and where.

Setup

1. Import the five workflow files into n8n.
2. Set your BASE_URL, test email and password in the clearly labelled variables at the top of each Code node.
3. Connect Gmail for the reports and activate the workflows.

• FastAPI or other Python SaaS applications with JWT / Bearer authentication
• Standard REST endpoints (GET, POST, DELETE) and email-and-password login
• n8n self-hosted or n8n Cloud, a Gmail account (OAuth2) and a dedicated test user in your application
