Turn every Contact Form 7 submission into a qualified, prioritised lead
Most contact forms end in an inbox where serious enquiries sit next to spam and vague questions. This n8n workflow receives each Contact Form 7 submission the moment it is sent, removes duplicates, scores the lead with AI, records it in Google Sheets and alerts you — so you know within seconds who deserves a reply first.
How it works
- Instant capture — a short webhook snippet in your WordPress theme sends each submission to n8n. No extra WordPress plugin is required.
- Duplicate check — leads already in your sheet are detected and skipped, keeping your list clean.
- AI lead scoring — GPT-4 rates each lead from 1 to 10 for intent and potential value, with a one-sentence explanation. 8–10: clear buying intent, a specific request, budget or timeline. 5–7: general interest. 1–4: unclear or spam-like.
- Google Sheets record — timestamp, name, email, subject, message, score, score reason, source page, IP address and status are appended to your Leads sheet.
- Instant alert — a formatted HTML email with the score, the lead details and a one-click “Reply to lead” button.
- Welcome email — the sender receives a professional confirmation, so every enquiry is acknowledged immediately.

Questions
Do I need to code? No. You import the workflow, paste one snippet into WordPress following the guide, and add your credentials.
Will it work with my existing form? Yes. It uses the default Contact Form 7 field names (your-name, your-email, your-subject, your-message); custom names are supported with a small change described in the guide.
Can I use it on several sites? The licence covers one site. Contact us for multi-site use.
Need it connected to a CRM instead of Google Sheets? We can adapt it to HubSpot, Pipedrive or your own system as a custom automation.
